Waxing Services

We use Beeswax, Natural Resin, Safflower Oil and Azulen, It makes waxing faster, easier and less painful.  A calming gel will be applied after waxing to prevent breakout, redness, ingrown hair and irritation.

Pre-Waxing Prep

  • Cleanliness:  Be sure to exfoliate prior to your waxing treatment.

  • No Lotions:  Do not use any lotions in the area ready to be waxed.

  • Hair Length:  You need some hair growth for the wax to hold on to, but not too long, which can cause unnecessary pain.  Let the technician trim hair down to just the right length at your appointment.

  • Pain Prevention:  Take an Advil or Ibuprofen 30 to 45 minutes before your appointment if you are worried about pain. Drinking caffeine can increase pain of waxing, as it stimulates the nervous system.

Post-Waxing Care

  • Watch What You Wear:Avoid tight clothing for the next few days.  Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.

  • Hands Off:  Keep hands away from freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.

  • Fight the Bumps:  Use an anti-acne lotion for your face, back and chest twice a day following the treatment until breakouts are gone.  Only use an anti-acne product recommended by your skin care professional. For getting rid of ingrown hair, try Tend Skin or Finipil.

  • Shower:  Avoid taking a hot bath or shower for the rest of the day.

  • Exfoliate:Do not use exfoliating products (AHA, scrubs, etc) and loohfas for at least 24 hours after waxing. Use a mild exfoliator after 2 days.

  • Avoid Sun:Please wear sunscreen immediately after waxing; recently waxed areas are prone to hyperpigmentation if exposed to the sun.

  • Avoid From Heat:  Keep heat away from the waxed area for the next two days (this includes hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms).

  • Avoid Tanning:  Refrain from sun tanning for the next two days [this includes any strong ultraviolet (UV) light exposure or tanning bed treatments].

  • Avoid Chemicals:  Do not apply high SPF sun block to the waxed area for two days after the waxing service.  Sunscreen chemicals can irritate the newly waxed skin (this includes self-tanning products and tan accelerators).

  • Avoid Fragrances:  Keep highly fragranced products away from the waxed area. Only use professional products recommended to you by the skin care therapist who performed the waxing service.

  • Avoid Heavy Exercise:No exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing.

  • Be Patient:  Any redness of the skin should disappear within 6 to 8 hours after the waxing treatment.  Slight redness is normal and indicates that the hair was removed from the root, rather than superficially broken off, as in shaving.  This is the reason that professional waxing lasts much longer.
